Recipient Lock-In Program Training for State Operations Users
An instructor-led training course for State Operations Users will be offered on Thursday, November 13, 2014. The course will be offered in-person at the Ground Floor Training Room of the CSC facility in Raleigh. The course will be limited to 45 participants.
Following is more information about the course, when it will be offered, and instructions for how to enroll:
(Note that the same course is being offered in two sessions - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. State Operations Users should only sign up for one session.)

Course Description
This course covers the new Recipient Lock-in Program, which helps identify patients at risk for possible overuse or improper use of pain medications (opioid analgesics) and nerve medications (benzodiazepines and certain anxiolytics), and helps identify those who receive these medications from multiple prescribers (doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician's assistant).
Course Objectives
At the end of training, participants will be able to do the following:
- Explain the purpose of the Recipient Lock-in Program and the process for identifying and communicating with participants.
- Access the Recipient Lock-in Program tabs and functions to review, recommend, and approve or deny participation in the program.
- Enter prescribers and pharmacies according to the Beneficiary's selections.
- Resend Lock-in Notification and Lock-in Confirmation letters.
- Update the status of appeal hearings.
State Operations Users can register for the course in SkillPort. Logon to the secure NCTracks Operations Portal and click the Other tab to select "Learning Management System." Once in SkillPort, select State Operations Training in the Catalog and open the folder labeled "Instructor Led Training (ILT) On-site." The course can be found in the sub-folder based on the topic.
