Reminder: AMH Training Opportunities for Primary Care Providers
Several training opportunities remain for primary care providers interested in learning more about the future of Medicaid managed care in North Carolina and the role of Advanced Medical Homes (AMH)s.
AMH Regional Training Forums
NC Medicaid is conducting regional training for Primary Care Providers interested in becoming AMHs in NC Medicaid managed care. Training includes a high-level overview of the AMH program and a more detailed look at the transition from Carolina ACCESS to the AMH program.

Statewide Webinars
NC Medicaid conducted AMH 101, Introduction to the Advanced Medical Home Program and AMH 102, Transitioning Carolina ACCESS. Archived versions are available on the AMH training webpage. Additional webinars will be announced soon.
AMH Tier Attestation Tool Training
There are multiple AMH tiers. Providers will be grandfathered as AMH Tier 1 or Tier 2 providers. However, providers may attest to a high tier level using the AMH Tier Attestation Tool, which will be available in the NCTracks secure provider portal on Oct. 1, 2018.
An instructor-led training course is being offered via WebEx to assist providers in using the AMH Tier Attestation Tool. Upcoming tool training session will be held on:
- Friday, Sep. 28, 2018, 9:30 – 11 a.m.
- Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, 9:30 – 11 a.m.

Note: Some providers reported difficulty in registering for NCTracks classes in SkillPort. This issue has been resolved.
AMH Tier Attestation Tool Job Aid
A Job Aid is available to guide providers on completing the AMH Tier Attestation. To view the “AMH Attestation” Job Aid, logon to the secure NCTracks Provider Portal and click Provider Training to access SkillPort. Open the folder labeled User Guides (reference library). The Job Aid can be found in the sub-folder labeled Reference Documents.
Refer to the Provider Training page of the public Provider Portal for specific instructions on how to use SkillPort. The Provider Training page also includes a quick reference about downloading Java, which is required for the use of SkillPort.
