Update on Vaccine Payment and Messaging

Some providers have received a misleading error message (01174) regarding vaccines for Health Choice recipients. As always, the recommended vaccines for children younger than 18 years of age are available at no cost to providers for children eligible for the Vaccines for Children program. And, as always, vaccines available through the Vaccines for Children program are not available for insured children, including those children enrolled in NC Health Choice.

NCTracks is expected to be corrected by the end of this week, so that timely and accurate reimbursement for vaccines can occur. Claims erroneously denied will be automatically reprocessed for providers within the next 30 days.
