Delay in Implementation of CAQH CORE Rules

The NCTracks team is actively working to develop and implement Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III of the CAQH Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE) rules into the NCTracks system. These CAQH CORE rules will not be implemented by January 1, 2014, as directed by the CAQH CORE committee. The current plan is to incorporate Phase I and Phase II changes before April 1, 2014, and Phase III subsequent to Phase I and II implementation. The Phases are defined as:

Phase I - Eligibility 270/271 changes
Phase II - CORE Infrastructure Rules for 270/271 and 276/277 transactions
Phase III - EFT/ERA changes

No action is required on the part of providers.
