A Message from NCTracks on Behalf of NC Medicaid COVID-19 Vaccination Update
Great news! Anyone 16 and older is eligible to get their COVID-19 vaccine! Vaccines help protect against COVID-19 and are effective in preventing hospitalization and death.
Tested, safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines will help us get back in control of our lives and back to the people and places we love -- like safely hugging a grandmother, traveling to see vaccinated family or friends, or having a potluck dinner with vaccinated neighbors. Currently, there are three vaccines available. Some are given in one shot and others in two. People can visit myspot.nc.gov to find a nearby vaccine location. (Please note that only the two-shot Pfizer vaccine is authorized for 16 and 17-year-olds. The website provides information on the brand available.)
We need your help in getting the word out. As a trusted messenger, you can help people make informed decisions to find their spot and take their shot. We have developed a suite of materials that can be found at YourSpotYourShot.nc.gov.
- Use the DHHS Communications Toolkit to reach your communities. The toolkit includes flyers, social media graphics, newsletter content, and more. Materials are available in English and Spanish.
- Visit our video library and see community leaders around the state talk about the importance of taking the COVID-19 shot. Share these videos with your networks and on your social media platforms.
- Share your own photos or videos to promote vaccination using the Selfie Tip Sheet (English / Spanish).
