Attention: NEMT Providers Update on NEMT Claim Denials for Third Party Insurance

Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) claims for recipients who have a third-party insurance carrier (including Medicare or private health insurance) were previously denying. This issue has been resolved and the system is now correctly processing these claims per policy guidelines. (Note: This only applies to vendors in pilot counties who are currently billing NEMT claims through NCTracks.)
