Hurricane Florence Overrides for Pharmacy PA and Early Refills Ended Oct. 5

As outlined in the Sept. 27, 2018 Special Medicaid Bulletin, the NC Medicaid flexibilities due to Hurricane Florence ended on Oct. 5, 2018. The exceptions were in effect for dates of service from Sept. 14 through Oct. 5, 2018. Overrides for pharmacy prior approval (PA) and early refills under this special CMS waiver are no longer available. Providers should return to following standard NC Medicaid policy regarding prescriptions.
