Reminder - Provider Training in January 2016

This is a reminder that there are several instructor-led training courses for providers that are being held in January 2016, including a new course. The duration varies depending on the course. Following are details on the courses, the dates and times they are being offered, and instructions for how to enroll:

Tuesday, January 12 - 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  - Submitting a Claim/Recipient Eligibility Verification DPH ITP (WebEx)

This course will cover how to submit a Professional (1500/837P) claim within the NCTracks system with an emphasis on claim level adjustments.. This course will also shows authorized users how to use the Eligibility Verification System (EVS), which provides information regarding a recipient's eligibility for services in real time. At the end of training, participants will be able to create a Professional claim via the NCTracks web portal, save a Draft claim, use the Claims Draft Search tool, submit a claim, and view the results of a claim submission.  Providers will also be able to submit an Individual Recipient Eligibility Inquiry, submit a Batch Eligibility Inquiry, and view an Eligibility Response. This course is taught via WebEx and can be attended remotely from any location with a telephone, computer and internet connection. The WebEx will be limited to 115 participants.

 

Tuesday, January 12 - 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Prior Approval Inquiry DPH ITP (WebEx)

This course will cover how to inquire about previously submitted Prior Approval (PA) requests for Division of Public Health (DPH) ITP recipients.  This course is taught via WebEx and can be attended remotely from any location with a telephone, computer and internet connection. The WebEx will be limited to 115 participants.

 

Thursday, January 14 – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Create and Submit a PA for DME and Home Health Supply using Electronic Physician Signature (WebEx)

This course will guide users through the new process that allows the requesting provider to enter a prior approval (PA) request on the Provider portal and then route it through NCTracks to the prescribing provider for review and approval using an electronic signature (PIN). At the end of training, participants will be able to assign a user role to a provider, assign a DME or Home Health PA request to the Prescribing Provider, access the notification of the PA Request within the NCTracks Provider Portal Message Center, and accept, reject or revise a PA request electronically. This course is taught via WebEx and can be attended remotely from any location with a telephone, computer and internet connection.  The WebEx will be limited to 115 participants.

 

Friday, January 15 – 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. – Using the Provider Message Center Inbox (WebEx)

This course will guide authorized users on how to use the Provider Inbox within the Provider Message Center of NCTracks. At the end of training, user will be able to navigate within the Provider Message Center, search for messages, and retrieve messages. This course is taught via WebEx and can be attended remotely from any location with a telephone, computer and internet connection. The WebEx will be limited to 115 participants.

 

Training Enrollment Instructions:

Providers can register for these courses in SkillPort, the NCTracks Learning Management System. Logon to the secure NCTracks Provider Portal and click Provider Training to access SkillPort. Open the folder labeled Provider Computer-Based Training (CBT) and Instructor Led Training (ILT). The courses can be found in the sub-folders labeled ILTs: On-site and ILTs: Remote via WebEx, depending on the format of the course.  Refer to the Provider Training page of the public Provider Portal for specific instructions on how to use SkillPort. The Provider Training page also includes a quick reference regarding Java, which is required for the use of SkillPort.
