Larger RAs Possible Due to E&M Reprocessing

Due to the reprocessing of Evaluation and Management Code (E&M) claims, some affected providers may see a larger than normal (higher page count) Remittance Advice (RA). Some affected providers may have already seen a large RA in last week’s checkwrite due to their claims being voided as the first step in the reprocessing. The completion of this reprocessing will occur in the September 24th, 2019 checkwrite. Providers could potentially see larger RAs in the September 24th checkwrite as well. This is a normal effect of reprocessing and providers are advised to review their RA. Please note that, unfortunately, the NCTracks Call Center cannot assist with RA details. However, for more information on the reprocessing, please see the announcement and the Medicaid bulletin.
