NC Medicaid EHR Incentive Program
In case you haven’t heard, Program Year 2016 is the last year to start participating in the NC Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program! To date, more than $285 million in incentives has been paid to providers throughout the state, so we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to earn $63,750.
Providers are eligible if:
- You have a CMS certified EHR technology;
- You are a Medicaid physician, nurse practitioner, certified nurse midwife, dentist, or a physician assistant working at a PA-led FQHC or RHC; and,
- At least 30% of your patients are Medicaid-enrolled.
In addition to being able to receive $63,750 over six years of successful participation, the use of certified EHR technology can help you achieve measurable improvements in patient health care delivery and performance.
Our attestation portal, NC-MIPS, is now accepting Program Year 2016 Adopt, Implement, Upgrade (AIU) and MU attestations so you can attest today.
Assistance is available through step-by-step attestation guides, an extensive library of answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), webinars and a dedicated help desk. If you would like free, on-site support meeting Meaningful Use (MU) criteria, or guidance in registering and attesting successfully, contact our technical assistance partners at the nine regional NC AHECs. You can also send us an email and we can help get you started and connected to resources that meet your needs.
