Overpayment of Claims for Q Class Recipients

There was an issue this past weekend with the implementation of the new claims payment policy for Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMBs). (See the link to the February 27 announcement below.) This issue resulted in the overpayment of hospital Medicare crossover Part A claims and Part C claims adjudicated this past week. The technical team is working to correct the issue going forward and to identify recovery actions for the overpayment. More information will be posted when it is available.
