New Requirement for Border Providers

NCTracks is now required to verify eligibility for Border providers. (This has been a requirement for Out of State providers.) Border providers are defined as those providers who conduct business within 40 miles of the North Carolina border.

If you are a Border provider, please ensure that you are enrolled and active with your home state Medicaid program. This is now a requirement for enrollment in NC Medicaid. If an enrollment application from a Border provider has been submitted to NCTracks and it is determined that the provider is not active in their home state Medicaid program, NCTracks will request that the application be withdrawn and a refund of the application fee will be requested from Finance. Once the provider meets the requirement, they will be required to resubmit a new application.

No action is required for Border providers already enrolled in NCTracks; this requirement only applies to new Border providers.
