NCHC Claims Denying for Age Edit

The NC Health Choice (NCHC) program has been expanded under the Affordable Care Act to include recipients under the age of 6 who lost their Medicaid coverage due to changes in income. These recipients are eligible, but the claims are denying with Edit 00149 PROCEDURE INVALID FOR AGE. We are aware of the issue and working to correct it. We will advise you when to resubmit the denied claims.
