PA and ICD-10 in Two Easy Steps

1. Current, Active Prior Approvals that Span Thursday, October 1, 2015: No action is needed.

2. New Prior Approval Request: Use the Requested From Date to determine whether to use an ICD-9 or ICD-10 code. Use ICD-9 if the Requested From Date is prior to Thursday, October 1, and use ICD-10 if Requested From Date is on or after Thursday, October 1.
